HANLEY, Grace Latitia-It is with great sadness that we, the family of Grace Latitia Hanley of Yarmouth and formerly of East Kemptville, announce her passing on her birthday March 16th, 2017, at the age of 88, at Villa St. Joseph du Lac, surrounded by her family. Born in Bangs Falls, Queens County on March 16th, 1929 she was a daughter to the late Austin and Rosena (Croft) Joudrey. Grace was a stay at home wife and mother who was adored by her family. She was the foundation and loved to be needed by all. Strong and assured in her opinions and feisty when she needed to be and was always there with the right advice. Although she loved her children and grandchildren dearly, she never got over the heartbreak of losing loving husband Clarence 11months ago. Grace leaves behind her children; Carolyn (Mackie) Freeman, David (Joanne) , Yvonne (Harold) Crowell, Linda (Bruce) Gates, all of East Kemptville and Judy (Graham) d'Eon of Middle West Pubnico; Sister; Betty (George) Freeman of Greenfield, Grandchildren; Lisa (Allan), Mitchell (Susan), Vickie (Jonathon), Shawnda (Anthony), Richard (Tina), Tanya (Marc), Melanie (Brian), Ian, Kimberly (Chris), Samantha (Mark) , 15 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. She was pre deceased by loving husband, Clarence; brothers; Christopher, Harold and George, Sister Muriel MaClean as well as a grandson Andrew in infancy. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A public graveside service will be held Saturday March 18, 2017 at 2 pm in East Kemptville with Pastor Rick Warner officiating. A reception to follow at Kemptville Baptist church. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in memory to the Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
