Poole, Mary Adele- age 90, of Yarmouth N.S. passed away on February 11th, 2017 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 8th, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Irene (Landry) Comeau. Mary loved to stay busy and in her spare time enjoyed sewing, knitting, puzzles and puzzle books. Mary loved animals, especially her cats; she also had a love of the outdoors. During her working years she worked at the The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 61 here in Yarmouth and also worked for Harris’ Quick and Tasty. Mary was also a homemaker and loved her kids dearly. She is survived by her daughters; Alice (Ralph) Durkee, Pleasant Valley, Annette Poole, Pembroke, Cecila (Mike) Paddock, Bridgewater, Bernadette (Kerry) Maughan, Bridgewater, Donna (William) Hurlburt Pembroke, Sons; Robert(Linda), Ontario, Georgie (Marie) Vancouver, Ronnie (Nancy), Chilliwack, Blair (Betty) Yarmouth ; sisters, Vickie Egan, Sue Comeau, Theima Bileby; brothers, Raymond Comeau (Sushil), Carl Comeau, Billy Comeau; and son in laws; Danny Barry and Hughie MacKinnon as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband George Frederick Poole and daughters Sharon MacKinnon, Wilma Poole and Rose Marie Barry; brothers, Sonny Comeau, David Comeau, Edmund Comeau; sisters, Helen Comeau and Shirley Taylor Spencer. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There will be no visitation by family request. There will be a gathering for family and friends Saturday, February 18th from 1-4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 61 in Yarmouth. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 61. Interment will be at a later date.
