Daniel Frederick Conrod
Age 79, of Yarmouth, peacefully passed away on September 10, 2022, at the Meadows Home for Special Care, Yarmouth. Dan was born in Sheet Harbour on January 6, 1943. He was the son of the late Harold & Alberta (Behie) Conrod. Dan worked as an electrician for many years in Halifax and later in Yarmouth. He was a proud member of the IBEW, local 625. In his early years, Dan loved hunting & fishing, collecting guns, wood carving, oil painting, raising pigeons and had a heart for horses.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Dorothy (Crosby); children, Judy (Steve) of Eastern Passage, Patti McKee of Dartmouth, Paul (Jennifer) of Middle Sackville; stepsons, Kevin (Val) Crosby of High Level, AB, Kent (Anne) Crosby of Yarmouth and Klarke Crosby of Fort McMurray, AB; Sister, Karen Goodwin; brothers, Harold Keith (Raina) and Samuel (Wilma); 11 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Dan was predeceased by his first wife Peggy (Brown), mother of his two daughters & son: brother, Allen.
The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, LPNs & CCAs for their wonderful care while Dan was in the hospital & home. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the VON Canada, The Cancer Society or the Salvation Army.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
